What Are Diamonds

Diamonds are pure or nearly pure carbon with
extraordinary qualities.

It has the hardest transparent substance known to
man. It is an extremely hard gemstone used mainly
for jewelry and tools. However, due to its unique
internal structure and powers of light reflection,
when cut to proper proportions, it gathers light
within itself and send it back in a shower of fire and
brilliance.

It is the only gem mineral composed of a single
element making it the purest of earth's gemstones.

Therefore it is fitting that the purest and most
brilliant of all the world's stones make the diamond
engagement ring the perfect symbol of engagement.
